Indian company Wipro and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have collaborated to set up an innovation center at the Wipro campus in Bangalore, India. According to news portal, this will help Wipro to develop and show its offerings on AWS across industries.The innovation center will serve as a hub for specialized teams and will be dedicated to fields such as Artificial Learning (AL)/Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, among others.The official statement said, “Wipro and AWS will jointly deliver enterprise-scale migrations at this multidisciplinary co-innovation center where specialized teams will craft innovative solutions leveraging AWS offerings. This center is an immersive environment where customers from a broad range of industries will collaborate to envision and drive their digital transformation journey, jointly with Wipro and AWS.”In November, we had reported that the Amazon Managed Blockchain platform was all set to be a fully managed service that made it easy to build and manage scalable blockchain networks. Clients could either build the platform using Hyperledger Fabric or Ethereum. The Ethereum option was not available then.At the time, the AWS had said, “Amazon Managed Blockchain eliminates the overhead required to create the network, and automatically scales to meet the demands of thousands of applications running millions of transactions.”In May this year, Crypto-News India had reported that Wipro announced that it had developed a blockchain-based solution in partnership with R3 that can be used for digital currency transactions between the banks of Thailand.At the time, the company had said, “Developed as part of the first phase of Project lnthanon, the solution will enable de-centralised interbank real-time gross settlement (RTGS) using wholesale Central Bank Digital Currency to prove that the technology can perform key functionalities of payment and enhance efficiency.”Liked what you read?
